Have a gold 1 $ george washington 1789 - 1797 george on front and statue of liberty on back real shiny like a brand new penny
Sorry, zero gold. It's the opening coin of a series of so-called "golden" dollars, commemorating the Presidents of the United States, in order of service. As explained at the US Mint's website, the coins are made in three layers, with manganese-brass on the outside: Yours is one of five designs issued in 2007. Value? $1. If you look at the edge of the coin, you will see the incuse legend consisting of the mint mark, date, "In God We Trust" and "E Pluribus Unum". (I couldn't find a picture of the Washington edge, but except for the year this one is the same.)
