I found this today in a roll search. What have I dot here? Is it a mint error or damage of some odd sort done in circulation? img197 - 1984 Obverse.jpg img197 - 1984 Reverse.jpg

The backwards "unum" above the tilted memorial on the reverse and the smashed obverse makes me think it is a vise job but others smarter than me will chime in.

Sorry to say that it is damaged.
It has been altered in a vise.

Looks like something you would see on Etsy for $1,000!

Most likely a lot more then that on Etsy, .....plus shipping.

Also could be that there was some transparent adhesive on the reverse and another penny stuck to it. Once that other penny was removed, the reverse of that removed penny left an imprint on the transparent adhesive which is stuck to the penny in the attached picture.

I say vice job because of the damage to the obverse. Someone laid another cent on the reverse and hit it hard enough to obliterate details on the face.
