I'm working on an access database to catalog my collection. I only have very few canadian coins, but I plan on buying more, so I wanted to seed my database with info on canadain coins for future use.

The question I have is are there any website or books that have general info on canadian coins? I just wanted info on denominations, series, mint marks, etc.

    Thanks

As always, the first place you should look is the Numismatic Resources section right here on Coin Talk. Canada

I couldn't hit the link above-- perhaps temporary with the "Changes Happening Now".

We like the Charlton Books for Canadian Coins. They are a series of spiral bound books issued annually.

I've been told the prices listed can be a bit high versus the market, but the information about the coins is very good. I'd recommend it as a start.
