First, I'm primarily a coin collector so I know very little when it comes to collecting currency. As a coin collector, I've acquired many many 1993/1994 Jefferson Coinage and Currency Sets as I'm a big fan of the 1994-P Matte Proof Jefferson Nickel. I've cut up many of those sets to get to the nickels which I've sent in for grading at PCGS. That left me with several of the gem crisp uncirculated 1976 $2 notes which were included in the sets. In cutting up the sets, I cut out the entire back panel of the original packaging which holds the $2 bills. This left a pretty neat cardboard holder with plastic windows on each side which lets you see both sides of these notes. Additionally, a small number of the sets I've acquired had $2 star notes... maybe 12 sets or so had them out of well over 100 sets that I've had. Anyways, here's what the notes look like in the holders: Here's the obverse of one of the star notes: Here's the obverse of one of the non-star notes: Here is what the reverse of each note looks like: The only things I really know for sure about these is that they appear to be very high in grade and that they are worth at least $2 each Instead of cutting them out and spending them, or using them as gifts/giveaways at local coin clubs (which I have also done with great feedback), I figured I'd see if there was any interest in these amongst the currency collectors. I know the serial numbers can be important so I have listed out what I have at the bottom of this post. I also have some sets that I haven't cut up yet that have star notes and some with consecutive serial numbers and some stars with consecutive serial numbers. I may be willing to cut those sets up if you want those notes or maybe even sell them intact. I did some asking around on pricing and a little bit of searching and figured that I'd be willing to sell the star notes for $10 each shipped and the non-star notes for $5 each shipped.
