This from the St. James Sale today, a very rare 1955 Proof Halfcrown - Proof 66, scratches on plastic. Now if only I can find that pesky 1959! Has anyone ever seen a proof 2/6 from the 1962-64 era? I have not.
Nice coin! Glad you got it. I bid higher than the high estimate on the 1954 proof farthing. Not high enough. Coin went for more than 3X the high estimate! A least 2 people really, really wanted that coin. Cal
This bid was 4x lower estimate....Yes, that farthing was nice as was the "hyper" rare 1945 brass 3d in proof....I have NEVER seen that one but kept my powder dry for the 1955 2/6.
