I like the "as Caesar" style portrait also. No gold for me! But I'm happy with this denarius: (Some very light cleaning scratches on the obverse, but not visible in hand.)
Wow, all the coins above are master works from the best celators. This one which I own is comical in comparison. My other Pius is a little better, though the celator was still not as talented as those above.

After the aureus but before Pius was ready to place Augustus on the obverse of his coins is this denarius which includes Hadrian's name HADRI in the obverse legend and AVG beginning the reverse. The reverse is dated to late 138 by the COS DES II announcing his intent to serve as Consul in 139.
