funny looking Lincoln

    I'm going to take a guess. Is that scratch raised? If it is, this could be an interior crack with a retained something or other (I forget). Don't know what to make of that little indent on the 9, though, it looks like it doesn't belong. I've got a dime something like this, though, so I've seen this. If it is this error, I think it's really cool...nice find. :thumb:

    Neat coin, I have quite a few of them myself. Even bright red ones.

    Thanks for the comments. The crack is raised.
    If you go back to the previous pic of the whole coin you can see it looks like Mr. Lincoln is wearing a helmet.

    Notice the dot between the S and T of trust. And there is extra material on the top of the last T.

    The crack begins at the bottom of the coin and goes up through the coat.
