Haha. Yeah. Makes me wonder how they keep their form as mercury is liquid at room temperature if my chemistry teacher was correct.
He was correct. Mercury was used in thermometers, both oral and rectal. Not sure if those old style thermometers are even made anymore, most all I see are digital ones.
My grandma told us never to put coins in our mouth because they may have come from the penny pinching old miser's rearend when he squeezed them out to buy aspirin. She was a wise old gal!
