looks like something was stuck on the die in this area . I have a large amount of state quarters from the same die that has a place like this on Washington's neck.
No Gomer , I was mentioning my quarters as being from the same die. this is called a struck thru when something get's between the coin die and the planchet. sometimes the foreign material gets stuck onto the die for a while.
