Fun new arrival: 1803 Draped Bust Half, O-104 Small 3

I kinda accidentally bought this, so I don’t plan on keeping her, but it represents my first draped bust half. She has rather nice surfaces and VF-20/25 details. What are your thoughts?

I don't understand how one "kinda accidentally" buys a coin like this.

My thoughts are she's an attractive, original VF coin. There are a couple of minor problems, but nothing that would keep most people from jumping on this one. I think its a nice coin.

 

I put in a lowball bid, not expecting to get it.

 

I like it. It's not toned as dark as most of it's vintage, and there's a good bit of dark gunk in some of the crevices, so in my mind some sort of cleaning at some point is very possible. JMHO.

 

Nice job if you got that for a lowball bid. Very attractive and by all appearance original. I could use a few accidents like that. Guess I need to bid more often!

 

I would keep it. Nice coin.

I bought it a couple months ago and just got the grade back. It is the last of the batch I bought to resell. Apparently that is too difficult for you to understand.

 

You didn't provide context, how's Coincorgi supposed to understand?

Nice coin man! It does look like its had a cleaning in the past, but who cares! Shes a keeper anyways! Congrats on a very nice, historical coin! Fwiw, id say its likely a vf 20 or thereabouts.

 

The thing is, you say you've quit collecting them, but you actually will continue to do so if you can make money off of the ridiculous prices they demand, which in turn is the reason you've decided to quit. Your reasoning is ludicrous and eminently mockable.
