Hey at my bank today I saw she (the teller) had some Kennedy's in the drawer and I spotted some with no copper reading so I said I would like all of those please. I then asked does anyone else maybe have some? She asked and I got some more. Got 5-40% Silver 2-68's 2- 67's and a 66! Hoot!!! I will check them all tonight. I was there to get some cash and a few rolls. Fun day at the bank!
Not bad. I remember going to a bank to make a deposit while on vacation in 2010. I could see a whole stack of silver halves in my teller's tray, which was left visible for everyone to see. I inquired about buying the halves but the teller refused to sell them to me and said she was going to keep them. I think there may have been some gems because the edges on a lot of them were very bright and shiny. Oh well.
I'd have been so excited I'd have probably misspelled it too. Click the Edit the next time, that way nobody will know lol.
I didn't know I was secretly posting in an English exam forum I thought this was about my "Good Bank Day" and now you crushed me cpm9ball! Heck you didn't even say nice find
Of course it's a good find! You should be thankful, though. On one site, something like that gets a "You Suck!" Award. Are you ready for English Composition or Math, next? Frank is teaching English Composition. That should be fun! Chris
Nice Find! I too failed English in high school. The last time I was at the bank the teller showed me what she kept in her purse in a nice little brown envelope. Just 3 of the most beautiful 1979 proof SBA's I had ever saw. She did let me look through her half stack no silver.
NICE FIND indeed!!!!! I always buy Halves whenever I am at the bank. Had some silver finds, but not as many as I would like to. I think that because we are a very little town in the middle of nowhere, corner of noplace, the clerks look through them and keep the goodies to themselves...
Well, the 40% silver group had no errors. I found an interesting 71 though, but I am fairly certain it is MD; it looks neat though. Hey, cpm9ball, is my grammar improving?
