I am looking to start a collection of coins with full bodied (not just heads) women coins. So post some of them that you own so I can have a better idea of what's out there and just an all around fun thread to view The only thing I require is that it be a real world coin from some country, meaning legal money somewhere, or was legal money somewhere at some time. This is my new silver Hungary 500 Forint 1984
Odd proportions...small shoulders, slight build on top but with robust thighs.. Big hands...I'm not sure where the artist was going with this..
I love the standing liberty quarter, nice. I have one, but not as nice as yours nor a 1917 which is really cool.
I think most, if not all of those problems can be attributed to the necessarily low relief of modern circulating coins.
How about a Walker. Not the best strike on this coin, but the luster and eye appeal are off the charts.
Now this topic definitely got my attention. Some I have (but sorry no pics): -Equatorial Guinea Maja Desnuda - Haiti 1973 50 Gourdes
Sadly I have nothing to contribute... All I got is the "heads" of the women on US coins... I'll have to sit this one out.. Nice coins everybody!
Nothing fancy, just a couple of circulated coins I pulled out of the files. 1972 5 Francs from France with the famous "sower". If you look at 3 o'clock just below the right hand, you will see the rising sun.make you wonder wher the idea for the walking liberty came from. The other is a 1978 1 franc from Switzerland, another common design with "liberty" often seated. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Great topic. Who will dare post the Cuban " Pirates of the Carribean" series.
Its not any worse than the OPs pic. EDITED - Let this be a warning - if any more pic's of the same kind are posted, infractions will be given out.
