How wonderful that you can go detecting every day... and actually find good stuff!

 

So true. Don't take it for granted. Many of us would love to be able to go coin hunting like you.

 

Your finds really make me want to get out and do some detecting. Unfortunately around here (Maryland) I don't think there are too many places I can go. Definitely wouldn't find anything as cool as you have found.

 

Simply awesome to have so many settlement sites to explore nearby, and finding your own coins, how cool.

I once passed a metal detector through a friend's backyard in Jacksonville, Florida, as he has a big yard and a home that was built in 1895. Turned up a few silver dimes and quarters, some old pennies and nickles, parts of an old circa 1950's bicycle, and even an old bottle while digging out a coin.

Still, nothing as cool as a Roman coin, not that I actually expected to find one...but I was hoping to get lucky and pull up an old American $20 gold coin...but no such luck for me.
