    French New Caledonia (Nouvelle Caledonie) is a group of islands in the Pacific

    They are currently administered by France and use the Comptoirs Français du Pacifique (CFP) Franc.

    thanks for shareing . to me it looks like a wren . what is the bird that is central
    in this coin. again thanks i like to see coins that only for this site i might not see.

    It's a Kagu Bird, a mysterious bird which lives in those islands.
