Greetings all, I was wondering if anyone could help in identifying this french coin that does not appear to have any year / denomination stamped on it. I have seen similar coins online that all have the data / value in the blank fields on the reverse. Thanks!
Hi, It is not a coin. It's a token of some kind probably sold as a souvenir. It won't be listed in any listings of foreign coins. The top of the reverse looks like it has a little "chip" taken out of it. This may have been a part of a small attachment that connected this piece to a key chain or something of that sort. In any case, it's not a coin...It's a modern representation for another purpose. Thanks, Bill
Thanks! I did notice the defect near the top but did not know what to make of it. I also thought it was in way to good a shape for such an old coin. Thank you very much!
