i do hate you i really hate you my kid now hates you my wife has always hated you did i mention you were hated?? just kidding of course tis a beautiful not spock! and a specimen to boot!!! wow!
he is spewing hate where are the mods someone ban him quick yeah i love that note its the lowest serial number possible
It certainly is a beautiful thing but then again everything you post is. Am I allowed to ask how much money is big league money? Congratulations.
thanks for the compliment. i meant the big league from a rarity perspective. for someone like me a note in 4 figures is big league but there are some here who regularly buy 5 figure notes
Well now Spock...running with the big dogs means getting offf the porch!! LOL Heck, you leaped off the porch and are in full speed mode!! Ruff, Ruff!! Nice note Sir RickieB
4 figures is big league to me too. I don't think I've ever paid more than 1 figure sums for any of my world notes. Obviously I don't have anything rare or valuable but the paper's just for fun, I just get the pretty things
Four figures is big dog money? You know you can spend $100 on something and be just as satisfied, but spending more is fun too.:secret: I would love to find one of the French India notes in CU, and an issued note. Now that would be a 5 figure note. If one even exists.
Actually for a lot of the French India series, the specimens are now far more common than the issued notes. When the French colonies were taken over by British India, then the Indian Republic in 1954 they were pretty quick in calling in and destroying the old colonial era currency. It is a similar situation to several of the Portuguese India notes, some exist more as specimens than issued notes. And when you do find issued notes, they were often hole cancelled. There are several of the early 1917 issues from Goa that I would like to collect, but they are very rare, but would look so nice in the attractive females on banknotes theme.
I always have great fear for specimen notes due to some bad experiences. I never try to buy a specimen note again unless it is a printer's specimen note. Even then, we do not know how many have been printed and kept somewhere. I just go for the solid numbers ones where at least i can account all the serial numbers. Don't pay too much for a specimen note. That's is an advice from me. Indeed, a four figure amount paid is high for a specimen note.
You can get many of the notes from India at very reasonable prices the specimen in high grades are difficult to find most of the portugese and french issues from india are also easily available in CU for a very decent price from the right dealer and dont even come close to the price of this note. the govt was not any quicker in calling in the portugese or french money than they were british money ( i am talking paper money here and not coins which had to face the brunt of a frozen series)
not for this one its reall difficult to get this kind of note i could have got the same one as a normal issue or $300 less the way specimen series work is slighlt different for india the same as for restrikes
