Vintage French coins are some of the most beautiful and ornate coins ever minted. I love them. Oddly enough, I picked up this coin as part of a group lot at an auction. There were lots of nice coins in the lot but this was by far the most beautiful. I picked up another lot of foreign coins on recently, and while I haven't had a chance to go through them all yet, I did notice one or two French coins with a similar design to the one above. I'll post a pic later if I get a chance!
