(Peter. Please remove if not allowed) When dealing with coin dealers I always have fears, and to me it is important to know the experiences of others. FYI: I have completed several transactions with a dealer who goes by the name "Frascatius". Always, the transactions have gone smoothly and I have never felt overcharged, on anything. I found that a recent purchase was not 'as described' and I pointed this out to "Frascatius". Within hours I had an apology, a full refund, (and I got to keep the coin in question). In my book, You can't get fairer than that.
Yes, I made a bunch of purchases from him in the 2010s (last time that I can find in my notes was in 2014, a Ti. Quinctius Hercules/rat denarius, Cr. 297/1b, but no photo). He's also generally active in the coin world and as a collector, which is a good thing. I've had nothing but good experiences and heard only good things. I've got dealer notes in my provenance file, and a brief entry for "Frascatius": Tom Mann (USA, collector, dealer; "Frascatius" on eBay; personal name is public). Long time seller, well over a decade+ [edit: reportedly since at least 2005]. Mentioned (name, ebay ID) on Reid Goldsborough's "Getting Started with Ancient Coins" (n.d., but more than a decade ago). Known in American ancient coin circles. Supporter/volunteer at ACE. Shared his letter to CPAC regarding recent MOU on Cypriot coins in a 13 Sep 2021 comment on Peter Tompa's blog ("Cultural Property Observer").
