Here's the pic, anonymous folle of the 10th century. Had for a good price. The lot I lost on was a Tacitus Billon tet of Alexandria, lost by $1.
Wanted to bid on Corinth Stater - Lot #20, but passed, last bid was way above what I was willing to pay
I won a couple of Sasanian drachms- nothing very rare or high-grade, but I'll be taking my own photos and posting write-ups when they arrive:
350 was sold for $151. I think many of us wanted to bid on it. I'm in a frugality period, so I didn't. I bid on several coins, but in the end won only one, a tetradrachm of the emperor Carus, that filled an aching hole in my collection. I had no coins of Carus, then decided on a coin that was cheap on Ebay, but when it came in I was not at all pleased. The obverse is shining like it was lacquered. I'm suspecting it had a bad patina or BD. Tetradrachm Carus (282-283). Obv. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right. Rev. Dikaiosyne standing. Year A = 282. 19 mm, 7.73 gr. Emmett 3396. Ebay $20 So I was glad to have won Frank Robinson's Carus of exactly the same type. Here are the coins together. I hope you all agree with me that Frank's tetradrachm is o.k., but the other one has to go. Tetradrachm Carus (282-283). Obv. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right. Rev. Dikaiosyne standing. Year A = 282. 17 mm, 7.69 gr. Emmett 3396. Frank Robinson Jan. 2019, $32
