Tonight at my local coin club meeting I bought a 1960 Franklin MS-65 for 30 dollars at auction, graded by ICG, it has slight toning around the edges, it's my first graded coin buy, thanks, EPS:smile I dolnt know much about the increased value of graded to ungraded coins, maybe I should have consulted you guys first
Sounds like an acceptable deal to me, are you unhappy with it? If it's nicely toned, then $30 is nada. :thumb:
Not unhappy but since I'm a newbie at graded coin values I wanted to get your guys opinions, will try to post pics tmrow. Barley toned but the part that is is nice
Yeah post some pics when you can. As long as you're happy with it then I'm sure you did alright. A nice Franklin cost at least that much anyways. :thumb:
EPS: Sounds like a good deal to me, especially if it is nice eye appeal. Looking forward to the pics. TC
Hey, sorry for the delay. Here are the pictures. Hope they're good quality. BTW, sometimes I flip things and am looking to maybe sell this. If you have an offer PM me. BTW, book value is about $110.
Which book? I'd check ebay for a better idea on price, you can see one sold for 56 and none of the others sold. www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=1960+f...ALE_CURRENCY=0&_osacat=0&_dmd=1&LH_Complete=1
Dang, you got a very good deal to me it would be a keeper for awhile. Sure it's an ICG but so what! I'd keep it in a heartbeat. :thumb:
Post a classified below in the For Sale forum, I'm not trying to police the thread but you're not supposed to sell stuff up here. I don't want it because I already have a really nice one. Post an ad below, maybe someone will want it. :thumb:
$30 is a tad high, but not bad. I have a 60 and 60D both graded 66 I picked for $30, and a 60 graded 65 I paid $25 for, all three were PCGS slabbed.
