here are the two Franklin I got from a yard sale. Also with a slabbed 38d buffalo. The first said 1951 proof on the 2x2. But it is slightly turn a yellowish color and looks to be some kind of dirt and Grimm ..... but it looks to be a vary clean coin. Should I take it out of that 2x2 or what!??? Is the pvc damage?

The second is a 48 franklin. Circulated buy still a good coin. But I was wondering about the “4” in 1948 (DD?). This was also in a 2x2. That was falling apart so I put in another 2x2.

I’m I doing right with using 2x2 staple together holders??(I’ve been putting about of coins in the 2x2). Should i use something else?

The first coin just has dirt on it and not pvc damage. It is also not a proof coin but rather a normal business strike coin. The second coin appears to have been previously cleaned.
