Went out dirt fishing today for a couple hours. My partner in crime found 5 wheat cents the oldest was 1918 and a 1952 dime. Sorry no pics he had to leave but that was the oldest coin and first silver he has ever found so it was pretty exciting for the beginner.I found a bunch of modern coins and a US olympic drinking team pin. Well i have been dirt fishing for 20+ years and have found many a coins but this one coin has always eluded me. Today was the day finally got the Franklin half.
Nice haul! Oh snap! When did they get an Olympic drinking team? I want on that team....LOL. I still haven't found a FHD. My finds are much older though. Nice just the same! Big question?? Why do you call it "dirt fishing", LOL?
I have found many coins that are much older. It’s just this one was stubborn . I found Morgan‘s ,Seated, Walkers , large cents , ++++ many more That is just the term we use for metal detecting. Well, I guess since I have the pin, I can be part of the team!!
Nice find! I kind of detected my first Franklin earlier this year. It was a seeded silver coin event. And several other silvers. Franklin is on the top left.. But as you probably already know I found my first Barber Half about a month ago.
