Hello, I've come across a franklin half that had a "funny looking date" when I looked at it, kind of smudgy, so I snapped some high-res photos to get a better look and found this. Is this considered an example of a double die, or just a double date, or anything at all? I was going to sell this half from scrap silver, but saw the date and decided to see if it would be worth anything more. It's an extremely common date, so it may not be a rare doubling at all. If it is a doubled date, would it be worth anything more than $10.00? Thanks in advance for opinions.

    Welcome to CoinTalk.

Photos of coins taken at steep angles make it hard to see what we need to see. Can you retake the photos straight on?
