One of my best and a very valuable Mint Error from my personal collection :woot:
Even wil a Details grade.. I hate the Wheel Mark attribution. NGC should eliminate it. So dumb.

It's amazing how string can do that ! I can see metal but string ? That's just incredible !

Here's my 1963...I have five or six Franklin halves and would LOVE to have a lot more than that. This one had the best reverse of all of them; the words on the bell are more prominent on this specimen than the rest of them. Not as pretty as some folks have but it's mine and I love it.

AHHHHHH memories. I remember being made to go to the store for my older brother. Plopping down one of these for a pack of Winstons back in '62.

But people still think cotton gloves can't leave light visible marks.

They sell them so folks are believers. What do YOU use to not leave marks? What is used at the grading facilities ? You brought up a good question.

It's funny how the prices for 1949 Franklin Half Dollars go up and down. This used to be an expensive coin and was once the "king of the series." I am financially buried into this puppy, a 1949-S
