Not really, I think ... According to this page http://perso.wanadoo.fr/horizonfr/l... les commemoratives/10_francs_montesquieu.htm it came in three versions: bicolor gold, base metal trial strike, and a "regular" piece as part of the BU and proof sets. Christian
Christian,Krause lists the coin as 'Still not released as of 8/99'.I thought that the coin may have been issued in the run-up towards the change over to the Euro from Francs & Centimes.
