Here is a pretty neat, four unopened Canadian Confederation 100 Year Anniversary Medals. They don't look like much, but in hand are pretty nice.

Yep, they're not solid gold, LOL...

    Thanks for looking

nice bone, very nice... What does the design represent? the 6 pointed star is unusual .. it made me think of the Jewish religion, but i think that is a 5 pointed star.. or maybe thats chritianity and the Jewish star is 6... i dunno.. but the star onyour coins made me think of that .... SO.... other then 100 years of Canada =P what might the design be?

ok, i see it now Aidan, thanks.. i didnt see the bottom 'point' as being the stem.. i just thought either by glare, or by a weak strike, that it was indedd another point on a star ... now that you pointed it out, yes indeed i do see it for what it is :)

The event that is being commemorated by those medals is the Centenary of the Confederation of the Dominion of Canada.

Ben,there was a country called the Province of Canada prior to 1867.Here's an article; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Province_of_Canada .

    Aidan.
