    Hi...

I've made a few other threads, I don't know a lot about American coinage but I'm learning and its fun.

I'm really getting into American coins, if anyone has any nice ones for sale I'd be pleased to buy!

In case you didn't know, the 1975 coin is made from copper. In 1982 they switched to a cheaper zinc alloy. The '82 coins can be either metal and they best way to tell is to weigh them. After '82 they are all zinc unless it it was minted as a collector's coins.

The design you have lasted for 50 years. In 2009 there were 4 special pennies minted to celebrate Lincoln's life, and starting in 2010, there is a new penny design that will be used for the next 50 years. (the reverse is changed)

In the UK, you might want to look around for the WWII years of these coins. I suspect that millions probably made their way during that period. Some of these coins were made of steel instead of copper due to the metal shortages, and can be pretty valuable.

Nice finds Frank. As far as buying US coins check out the "open" or "auction listings" sections of Coin Talk. Usually some good stuff in there for reasonable prices.
