found tin full of coins

    well i wish i had some pics but no camera...but they are from what i can tell all german...oldest one dates back to 1893...some of these coins are very very tiny...is there anyone out there that can help me figure out if i have stumbled upon a gold mine???

    Pretty tough to be of much help IDing coins without pictures. If they really are all or mostly German small change, there probably aren't too many different designs, so possibly descriptions with the full legends, sizes and apparent metallic content, would be sufficient.

    My suggestion is that you sort them and see how many different coins you have and the date range for each one, then post a list with descriptions. You should also check your local library. It may have (or be able to get on inter-library loan) the 19th Century and 20th/21st Century volumes of the Standard Catalog of World Coins by Krause & Mishler.

    Well, if you want to show us a picture, like I always say, try a scanner!
