..at an old fairground site here in Michigan. It was 7 inches deep. Not to bad of shape. Its my 2nd one of the year and my 3rd ever. Real nice weather here today. Mid 50s. Also found a 1899 canadian dime and a 1886 indian.
Some people laugh (including my girlfriend) when they see guys with metal detectors at the beach. Personally, I am ready to get one. The only thing differant is that I will not wear black socks and sandals as I do my "searches". Some people like to golf, when I retire, I want to fish and scan the areas for coins.
Believe me, I felt like such a dork when I first started detecting in public. Headphones, walking around staring at the ground. I used to think people who I saw doing that looked goofy. Oh well, I'm a goofy looking dork now BUT I'm finding some cool old coins. Hey Art the indian is ind pretty nice shape but for a blob of stuff over the date. Might be able to clean it up some. If ya still wanna see it I'll post a pic. Jim
