This is my first $100 star note. I have no idea if it's worth anything more than $100 but I think it's a cool find.

A replacement for a bill pulled because it was needed for quality control purposes, or because it was an error.

Cool find. Just found my first star note a couple days ago, except it was just a $1.

Nice 1996 NY $100 *! I really like the 1996 $100 stars because that is the first Series they were redesigned!

It's always great to find a star for face value, so congrats on your new find. Your particular note was printed in January 1997 and is from a larger run of 1,920,000. Probably worth a little over face in its current condition, but still a nice note.

Thank you for the info! It's my first and it's in good shape so I think I'll keep it for awhile.

Pennyman, Look for the star at the end of the serial number printed on the bill. Keep your eyes peeled!!

That's pretty nice VACookey! I think you can get $110ish over on Ebay with the right photos?

Possibly, but the fees would kill any profit. So I'll just hold on to it for awhile. Now if I can just find a $50 I'll have a full set.

Kool find! I got a $10* yesterday, it was my allowance!

Where do you find the info about the print run figures?

USPaperMoney.Info or mycurrencycollection.com are two awesome websites that I love to use for checking up on star notes and regular currency! I hope you find them useful.
