Found this nickle in my change today!!

    I recieved this back today at a gas station. It has a oiece of metal in the E in Liberty. Just kind of neat not real valuable though.

    my coins always come up blurry when i try to take pictures of them close up with my camera... :mad:

    (i have a sony cyber-shot dsc-s90)

    Vision..your lens has a minimum focal distance and the infinity focal distance.. for true close up work you will need a Macro or Micro lens or for some point and shoot digitals a close up lens kit depending on ther camera!
    If you look at the picture by benk..the edges are quite blurred giving the impression of a magnification glass used for that photo..I might be wrong, but that what it appears to be. If you have a Digital SLR like Nikon or Cannon that ahs the ability to change len's.. then put a 60mm or 105 mm Micro with a 1:1 ratio (life size) and you will be impressed with the ability to shoot coins or anything really small...Good luck!!
    Look at the thread "Travels to the Darkside" you will see what I mean.. this was done with a 60mm Micro lens with a Nikon D-100, no enhancements just a raw image.
