More like extreme circulation wear with environmental exposure toning.. Parking lot coin is more of a scuffed up look because the vehicle would drag it around the hard ground.
Correct.. I stated that. But there are many different ways a coin can be damaged besides being in a parking lot I have detected quarters just like the one in question that have tumbled for years in rivers with many pebbles.
Just PMD. How and why? Who knows, except the person that did it, or found it in the environment it was damaged in, i.e. a dryer or some other type of equipment.
