Makes me think twice about leaving MI. I will bring the Whites when I go on vacation there in the fall. 1 week in the U.P., lots of old logger camps up there.
Nah, silver really only gets nasty when it's been around salt water for an extended period of time. Most of the stuff I dig up is still nice and shiny!
Found in a church parking lot? Reminds me of a joke. A Baptist Preacher, a Catholic Priest, and a Rabbi were discussing how they divvy up the collection. The Preacher said he drew a line on the ground and tossed the collection plate contents up into the air and what landed on one side of the line, belonged to God and what landed on the other side, he kept. The Priest said he did something similar. I draw a circle on the ground and toss the collection plate contents up into the air and what falls inside the circle, belongs to God and what lands outside of it, I keep. The Rabbi said, I also do something similar. I toss the collection plate contents up into the air and what God wants, he keeps and what lands on the ground, I keep. :mouth: The moral of this story is, Church parking lots are an excellent place to find change, if you are into metal detecting. Ribbit Ps: By the looks of the finds, this has been going on for quite some time.
Like Aslanmia stated. Water will stain silver but other than that it pops outta the ground looking like it did the day it was dropped.
Yep, nothing around in Michigan. Just move along. My daughter is taking her detector out again this afternoon. So far she has found nails, tools etc. in our yard. And only one zincoln.
