Hi Welcome to ct! Imho, it looks to be a mad ( misaligned die strike) that was possibly struck through a foreign object on Lincoln. Nice find .
Welcome to the neighborhood! If you're referring to the discoloration, there is no telling what may have caused it after it left the Mint. Chris
Hey thanks for the warm welcomes and any info is help i appreciate it my 1st thought was chemical or sanded but under coin magnification it dont show signs of either so i have had these for over a yr with nobody to tell me what i may have stumbled on or if they are just fun conversation coins.. So thanks for the reaponses any help is welcomed
Welcome. I see nothing unusual here aside from the yellowish discoloration. Though this would technically be environmental "damage" like Paddyman98 said, it's not so bad, and kind of neat looking. But it adds nothing to the coin's value. That's worth one cent. Keep it if you like it. Spend it if you don't. (But what are you gonna get with a penny nowadays, right?)
