If you look in the bullion section they have a listing for a 2009w ASE proof at $45. I was looking for a section where they list a dealer that will sell some off them. Maybe if I go online they will have them and I can click on the Buy it now?

perhaps it was listed pre-the mint deciding to not produce it.

    Hey, no one is perfect.

They list the stuff with best info from the mint, and then the mint changed their minds.

Of course it was since it comes out midyear of the previous year, and it is only a guide, it just made me chuckle a little.

Or maybe you can hit the BIN and the seller will disappear after he gets your money.

Things like that happen because the Redbook is sent to press almost two years before the date on the book. The final decision not to produce 2009 proofs was made late in 2009 and by that time the 2010 redbook was already out and they were making the finishing touches for the 2011 edition. At the time the 2010 went to press there was no clue that there would not be any 2009 proofs and it may still have been questionable when they did the 2011 (You didn't say what edtion your information came from). Another famous example of this was the 2001 edition which contained a listing for silver Sac dollars. This was because in Nov of 1999 The Mint was conduction a survey and one of the subjects they asked about was whether the collecting public desired a silver version of the Sac. The response was yes and the Redbook assumed the Mint would follow through with its production so they included it in the book.
