Found some old coins digging in the backyard and what are they worth

I am new to coins but I found some coins in my garden they are old. what does a larger one that has a lady on it and an eagle on the back I dont know if there is a date I tried cleaning it but not too much I think it is copper but it may be gold or I dont know but what is it worth I can take a picure of it but dont know how to put it on this page to tell you what it is??

Welcome to Coin Talk , it's almost impossable to tell a coins worth , or even what kind it is without some pictures , can you get someone to help you with posting some pictures .

If they're american, they sound like a seated liberty half dollar or english penny if they're not..just a guess

 

Or perhaps a Walking Liberty half dollar.

The first thing on my mind was what was Doug doing digging in the backyard? I haven't heard from Spock in a while so it made me worry Doug had dug a hole and planted Spock. :mouth:

Welcome to the forum.

Other than rinsing them with water, please do not rub them or clean them with anything. You can easily ruin the coins If you scrub them with a tooth brush or use chemicals. Please take an up-close photograph & post it here.

And, GDJMPS, I'm curious, why did you choose a name so close to one of the CT administrator's, including using all caps? Are you a big Doug-Fan or a Doug-in-Training?

No one mentioned the typical Morgan Dollar, Peace Dollar, SBA Dollar and the one that closest to his description the Sac Dollar that has a gold color to it. I believe they all have ladies on the obverse and eagles on the reverse.
