Those who saw the discussion of the 1982 50 Pence pop1 proof that I posted yesterday, here is a postscript. I found the very brother coin, from the same seller, and bought it. It is the 10 pence coin, clearly from the same proof set, with similar toning, and a cert. number only 2 apart from the 50p coin. It is PR 68DCAM, with a population of 3/0. Coin is in the mail, and here is the TruView.
Wouldn't it be better if you called it the "Niece"? Calling it the "Brother" might give some people the idea that "Queenie" had a sex change. ~ Chris
Quick - contact the seller via PM and see if they're selling the rest of this set before they list it Excellent pick up, same lovely color.
In the meantime, I picked up this 1982 set, which looks nicely toned, until the 5 and 20 get certified. They did not send out the coppers to be certified.
I did start registry sets with my 3 finest coins. They are viewable at PCGS registry as Morgandude11, for UK proof coins. Going to collect more fine specimens.
