Found this at an old home site. I love the standing liberty quarters. So much detail on a small surface. Its not in too bad of condition. Needs a little more dirt removal. 1924. Also found the indian head penny and a rosie. Plus some wheaties with the oldest being a 1911. A nice 1924 wheatie too.
Great digs JimC... Went and looked today,I'll be buying a pair of Whites MXT's in next cpl weeks for wife and I. What do you think of my choice? We looked at Garrett and Whites, chose the MXT's. Putting a bunch of Lincolns and some others on Ebay this week to do it, but I have decided that hoarding is no fun, digging is just as fun.
MXT is a great detector. My buddy has one and does great with it. Good choice. Now get to diggin when they come in.
Nice finds Jim. I'm really amazed to see that the SLQ still has a readable date because the design had not been modified yet to have the date recessed.
They usually don't. This one musta been dropped not long in circulation. I saw when I found it that it was a S.L. but it was caked in dirt and I couldn't wait to get it home and rinse off the dirt to see the date. I could tell from what I could see of it that it was in pretty good condition. Was hoping for a 1916 but was not to be. Fun stuff.
