Hi there I just found 6 uncirculated 2021 error Washington crossing the Delaware with die chip on front top of hat.
I've had multiple uncirculated rolls of 2021-P WCD Quarters. Only found one extremely early stage die crack on the hat. Coastal NC Here
That cool ,I am in Greensboro area and have found some of the w d die chip on top front of hat.I am new to this group and am not sure how to post a pic .
Are any of these cuds worth anything? Are cuds that are only visible under a 10x magnification worth as much as those visible only with the naked eye? I've found a number of 2020-P Salt River Bay - U.S. Virgin lsland) quarters with cuds on the leaves on the reverse at 9 o'clock and/or at 3 o'clock. Is there a special thread to post pictures of cuds of recent U.S. quarters and any discussion of their value? If so, please let me know which forum it is, and I'll dig mine out and post them there. Thanks.
@Mark Kerner the Original poster classified these correctly as Die Chips: A small break in the die, NOT related to the edge of the coin. A cud is almost Always associated with the edge of the coin, where the edge of the die has fractured and the metal flows into the void made by the fractured die edge. Yessir. We can see your pictures. On appearance they are die chips, nice finds!
they are nice, but they not the big one. the one on the front of the hat that's large sells on ebay for like $20-$30, the smaller one to the back of the hat sells on there for around $5. the big one that @Amberlarry22 found and has posted on here was huge, that one is still selling for over $100 on the bay.
I swear this qualifies as an interior die break, it's just massive! freestanding interior die break I personally believe. Waiting on this to make it to the experts though. LOL
I was very shocked to see the 2nd one to appear. I sure there are 1000s out there probably. When I find 2 of them. I was hitting the banks hard in my area there for awhile. It has slowed down in coin circulation.
