Yesterday and the day before for the first time in years, I received something worthwhile in my change!

Yesterday I got a 1936 Buffalo Nickel! The first I have seen in years! It seems that the tough economy draws a lot of these older coins into circulation.

But as I was putting my change in my pocket a nickel that I had dropped the day before (at the same drive thru mind you) was now at my feet near the pedals. I picked it up and saw that it was a 1943-P Jefferson. I had to wait until I got home to check for the overdate, but to no avail.

It was still thrilling! I never see these kind of coins in circulation any more!

Cool finds indeed! I work around 18 registers some days and, it can be weeks before I find coins like that in a till.

Funny how such a little think like that can make your day. I got a 1934 wheatie yesterday (from a roll, not in change), and it made me smile.

Congrats Mike, especially on the buffalo.......those aren't found often!

It is cool that you are still able to find things like that in pocket change. Great finds
