    I found this coin today in my cent roll hunt. I am just curious what may have happened to this penny? Ideas?

    Possibly something corrosive ate away at it from the outside in.

    here in snow country - alot of zinc pennies left in outside in the salty-snowy weather gets this corrosion effect. I have many that get so bad - they can even get counted in a coin counter.
