First off, I'd like to say Hello, since I am new here. :)

I am having a hard time with a coin found in Ca, I feel it's from the Gold Rush, used by Chinese immigrants. If anyone could shed light on the name of the coin and possibly what it might be worth. Please see the following pictures. Your help in this matter, would greatly be appreciated.

    Thank you in advance!!

    Welcome to the forum friend.
    Off by a little more than a half-century I'm afraid. ;)

You have a Republic of China copper 20 cash, KM#308a, dated Year 10 of the Republic (1921). Krause values it at 25¢ VG, to $30 Unc. It's really tough to grade from your picture, but my best guess is VG.

As to where I found it

I found it in my yard, in the Motherlode Country,(Douglas Flat) in CA. Someone told me that there was a old stagestop there during the gold rush era. My family was digging and buliding on our property, and two coins turned up. Do you know a site where I can get more information on the coin? I am unfamiliar with VG and Unc
I am not really a coin collector, but came across the coin in a jewelry box, and it brought back old memories. Thank you for your help!!

Howdy zeeman - Welcome to the Forum !!

VG and Unc are grades - it describes the condition of the coin. VG stands for Very Good and Unc for Uncirculated with VG being low end and Unc being high end.
