Found Corrosion!!

    i have some really nice 1943 (p s d) I had them in a 2x2. Got the out to show a friend last night and notice corrosion is starting in on them!! Is there a safe way to remove it. And how can I prevent it for happening again or continue to grow I’ve the whole coin

    They all look reprocessed/replated to me. Not original.

    Really!!?! I have a couple of plated pennies and it don’t look the same. Should I take more photos of them. I would be vary upset if they were. I know there not worth much but I have had them for a long time!!

    I’ll take more pic of them when I get home today

    Your edge shot tells the tale, if I'm seeing it right. If the edges DON'T show the raw steel, it's a replate job.

    Look for bright and matte pieces. Gloss is not your friend.
