    Hello,
I was lucky enough to find several old coins when cleaning out old stuff I moved after my grandmother passed away. I have a 1927 gold double eagle, an 1897 and 1879 morgan dollars (gold) and several other coins of various years and denominations. I have looked on the web and found the double eagle to be very valuable. What is the best method of selling these coins for a fair market value? Thanks for your help. Mike

I don't think they made a gold morgan. Possibly toned? Try the "open" section below to sell them.

Welcome to the forum. If you could post images of both sides of the coins, we might be able to give you a ballpark figure as to their value. Morgan dollars are struck in silver, not gold, but don't clean them.

Hi welcome to CoinTalk and as Mark says post some pics and DO not clean them :D

Also if you do want to try selling them here check out the rules of the forum 1st, you have to have 10 posts to your credit before you can make a offer to sell or trade and then it can only be done in the open forum
