Hello! I found this coin and would like to know what it is, where it's from, and what it's worth. It weighs 5.7g.
Old cast copy of a...old English silver penny, possibly? The plating is coming off, not positive what it's a copy of, but it is a cast copy.
Its definitely a copy of a Medieval European piece. Inquest, it would be nice, since you have the coin in hand if you could post what the inscription says. I can only make out part of it from the photos. Possibly some of the symbols, too, I think I see a sheaf of arrows or grain. The shield had a paly of seven in the dexter chief and sinister base, but on the sinister chief and dexter base I can't tell if that's a cross or if it is quartered with other symbols within (also can't tell what is below the base per fess wavy). That shield will tell you exactly where it is from, you just hafta be able to read it.
Its a fake of a Spanish real of Ferdinand and Isabella. http://www.cngcoins.com/Coin.aspx?CoinID=167435
