    It's a lion daalder from the Netherlands. If you can better pics I can tell you what mint.

    Here is a tip - if your digital camera is fairly new, as in bought in the last 5 years or less, (and that is if it is a proper one), it most likely has a macro function. It should be denoted as a flower sign. Play around with it and read the manual if you can find it. Good luck :) Nice coin find by the way.

    Yes, it's a Daalder, sometimes known as a "Dog Dollar." I'd venture to guess the value at about $100 based on the condition. Like mentioned earlier the picture quality makes it difficult to properly attribute (grade & assign mint) for a finer value determination.
