Found a Variety 2 1886 today in the dirt.

    I usually don't get out detecting this much but my wife is "letting" me because I'm helping a friend down the road learn this hobby. He just bought a new detector and is kinda struggling. Today I had a good Indian head signal besides the one pictured here and I gave it up to him so he could hear what it sounded like. That one turned out to be a 1904, he was all happy. Also had some close key date wheatie finds. A 1914 (without the D) I have found a 1914D before. And a 1924 (without the D).
    Here is the stuff I found today at an old farm house.....

  3. Wow, nice finds! I want to get my metal detector and go exploring, but there isn't really anywhere to go where I live :(
