Hey everybody, sorry I know there are already some threads about the release of 2011 coinage but I was wondering if you guys thought the demand for 2011 dimes and nickels would match the demand early on after the release of the 2010s. I found 7 rolls of 2011 D dimes today and after checking ebay there are only a few listings for the dime rolls. Have people just not gotten their hands on them yet to sell or will they just not be going for $50+ a roll this year? Thanks for any help.
I doubt that the 2011-D dime rolls will be a hot item. The US Mint is already showing 149 million produced through March. Unless they stop producing them this year, they will probably be on par with last year with a total of 562 million. Watching the eBay results will be the best guage of what the market is like. Nice find though. Finding new rolls is always a challenge.
