These sets are possibly the first "designer" silver bars. I've had a set since my 8th Birthday. APMEX has one listed for $1300+. Over a Grand for 19.25 ounces of silver??? Unbelievable!
They are actually quite popular. $1300+ popular? No. There are some on eBay for less with the low, I believe, at $875. I am trying to complete a set from "the wild."
One set on eBay is definitely pieced together (the one ounce piece is 1971 not 1969). Other sets on Ebay are also pieced together (i.e. not all pieces are from the same company - Hercaimey Enterprises vs. Silver Eagle Sales). Try to make sure you piece together a set from the same company. The reverse shows the company of origin.
