Fellow cointalk members, I see XM advertising on top of my screen. Is this new? I, like all of us, see what Bitcoin and AltCurrency is doing, should there be a subforum here for it? I don't believe so, I am old school with this topic and that. But I would like to know more about, and how to explore the crypto currency trade idea. I do not see how it could have an 'art or historic - or how would an old rare coin compare?' appeal to anyone alive now. Anyone?
A solar flare won't make your coins go away. People say that Bitcoin is safe from theft but more than $100 Million worth was hacked from a European Bitcoin mining company overnight recently. Folks say that Bitcoin is anonymous but the IRS has demanded and gotten the real identities of holders of more than a certain dollar amount also recently. You will never find a rare date Bitcoin unless they have serial numbers and you can determine which ones were the first ones created. Would you want to be one of the people who have been buying since the price hit $10,000 per coin when the market stabilizes and plummets? Nerds who bought a few in 2009 for the novelty can now get a new house or car by selling out and I recommend they do. Suit yourself.
Maybe, maybe not. There's no rule that it should be following and Asia loves it. The US isn't the dominate force in that market
Of course. Imagine buying enough bitcoin to go buy groceries. Then by the time you're checking out at the grocery store you find out you have enough bitcoin to buy the entire store.
Lol that would be the best surprise ever. Imagine being the guy who used 10k of them to buy pizza a few years ago. Or the guy who used them to buy a house back in September, bet he wishes he waited a little longer
If someone can persuade the IRS to take bitcoins in place of cash equivalents I might change my mind.
Hey, maybe Japan is in love with it because of the inventor's assumed name. They're into "home cooking" in Japan. Also no strangers to knocking a currency to death, either. Remember "sen", or 1/100th of a yen?
One in bitcoins should research the theoretical possibilities that quantum computers will have on decryption. Quite interesting, even though quantum computers are not ( at least to the information of the average person) yet feasible.
